Clean Day on the Greenway 2012!

Saturday, April 28, 2012: Register Now!

On April 28, 2012 from 9am-2pm, the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council, members of the Olneyville Collaborative, and local businesses will come together with hundreds of volunteers to take part in Clean Day on the Greenway (CDGW)!

CDGW, now in its tenth year brings over 300 volunteers together to clean and beautify the Woonasquatucket River and the Fred Lippitt Woonasquatucket River Greenway Bike Path from Providence to Johnston, including three Providence city parks. Our efforts this year will include a community mural, weeding and mulching tree wells and plant beds, planting, removing graffiti, touching up paint on benches, pulling debris from in and near the river, and more!

Registration begins at 8:30am at Riverside Park in Providence.

We encourage TEAMS, so register with a group of friends, family or co-workers! Let us know what team you're registering with. Individuals are welcomed too, of course! Either way, let us know if there's a particular area where you want to work. We welcome children of all ages as long as they are accompanied by an adult (waiver forms must be signed at registration).

We'll have DJs playing music in multiple locations throughout the day and volunteers get snack and water, cool free t-shirts, and a celebratory lunch at 1:00 back at Riverside Park! Pretty nice.

The focus of CDGW is to clean and beautify the Greenway, but if you want to use your registration page to help us raise funds - we'd be so grateful! Please spread the word about CDGW and thanks for registering!
