6th Annual Woony River Ride Bike-A-Thon!
Saturday, September 19, 2015
Get on your bike and explore the Woonasquatucket River from DownCity Providence to the Scituate Reservoir and back to Waterplace Park.
Last year&Rsquo;s Woony Ride was a success! We had over 300 participants that helped us raise over $22,000 to help us support our youth programs, including Red Shed, environmental restoration, bike path maintenance, and future extensions to the Woonasquatucket River Bike Path. This year we hope to make our bike-a-thon better than ever.
We have more options for this, our 6th Annual bike-a-thon fundraiser for the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council! Ride 62, 42, 30, 10 or 5 miles with full support from our brilliant and steadfast team of volunteers.
Our Races Include:
- 8:00 am - Metric Century (62-mile ride)
- 9:00 am - 42-mile ride
- 10:30 am - 30-mile ride
- 11:00 am - 10-mile ride
- 11:30 am - 5-mile ride or walk
There might be a few changes to our route but here is our plan!
Join and share our Facebook page for updates and information!
The Woony Ride brings out families and avid cyclists from the all over the region to enjoy the beauty of the Woonasquatucket River. It’s a fully supported ride, and it ends with an AFTER-PARTY at Waterplace Park in Downtown Providence - live music, food, and awesome prizes for fundraisers! We hope to see you geared up and ready to ride on September 19th to help us continue to make changes to our great community.
