Woony River Ride Bike-a-Thon
Explore the Woonasquatucket River from Providence to bucolic North Smithfield on this annual bike-a-thon; a fundraiser for the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council. The Woony Ride brings out families and avid cyclists from the all over the region to enjoy the beauty of the Woonasquatucket River, a historic asset to the state of Rhode Island. It’s a fully supported ride and it ends with an after-party at Waterplace Park in Downtown Providence - live music, food, and awesome prizes for fundraisers!
The Woony Ride started in 2010 with about 30 riders. Last year, we almost tripled our ridership with 75 participants. In 2012, we had almost 150 riders and our riders helped us raise $13,000! We hope you’ll join us for the 4th Annual Woony River Ride on September 21st, 2013.
